Traps and Offensive?
What do you use generally when you use the Assassin?
I know a lot of people use the offensive fighting moves but I've always been a big fan of the traps. For the pure carnage they can cause on lower levels, I find you can level up quicker than the other characters and then work on developing other skills. The fire trap is great until you get to a certain point but if you just stayed with that, you'd totally come unstuck on the fire level (I think that is act 4?) RE: Traps and Offensive?
With the Assassin i found that if you get your Fire Trap in ACT 1 you would knock Andariel over easy as, in ACT 2 you pick up a few skills but stay with your Fire Trap, over ACT 3 start to use your clone ability since she can use all your skills as well which gives a greater advantage by letting her do all the fighting and most of Kurast's Mobs are weak against fire, for ACT 4 you really have to rely on your Clone as well as your Traps, not only your Fire Trap which should be a very high level, once you have killed Diablo you should be well over level 30 and will have the abilities of Blade Shield and Clone Master or whatever its called and you can knock over Baal easy enough.... Well thats what i do with my Assassin....

RE: Traps and Offensive?
Most people these days, however, get powerleveled by others and thus don't have to worry about how efficient their skills are at early levels. It's unfortunate, but reality.
Personally, I recently started playing Diablo II again and have been experimenting with the Assassin class quite a bit. It seems no matter which skills you decide to go with, as long as you, your clone and your mercenary are able to kill one or two enemies, Death Sentry will take care of the rest. My advice, however, is to do what's most fun for you. Having the most elite build isn't always necessary and/or the most fun to play. |
